What a Friday night looks like

Same rhythm every week, so the boys know it and parents can plan around it.

6:30

Team leaders arrive

High school leaders set up the gym and get their teams’ night ready.

6:45

Doors open — drop off

Boys check in with their team. Gym shoes on.

6:55

Gym time

Team games, competition, and enough running to earn a good sleep. Teams stay together all season, so nobody stands on the sideline.

7:50

Everyone in one room to close the night — a short talk on the virtue the teams are working on, then prayer.

8:15

Pickup

Out the door on time, every week. Location changes are sent by email and TeamSnap.

Five things that make it Conquest

Conquest is a Catholic youth ministry program whose curriculum builds a real relationship with Jesus Christ and forms adolescents as Christian leaders who transform the culture around them.

Virtue based

100% Catholic — the faith lived out by practising the virtues of Jesus, in language boys can use on Monday.

Teen led

High school members run the teams. A grade 3 boy is looking up at a grade 11 leader, not another adult.

Gender specific

Friendship is what carries adolescence — especially true friendship rooted in Christ. A gym full of boys, on purpose.

Service driven

Collaborating with Christ in the evangelizing mission of the Church. Teams take on service projects through the year.

Responds to their needs

Takes the whole person into account — the specific needs of adolescents and the world they are actually living in.

Team based

Every boy belongs to one team for the whole year. Teams compete, and teams look after each other.

The night ends the same way every week

Sweaty, loud, and then quiet. The boys sit down together, hear one thing worth carrying home, and pray. It is the reason the gym is there in the first place.
